ABOUT THE MG CAR CLUB

WELCOME TO THE MG CAR CLUB OF QUEENSLAND Inc.

The Club was formed in 1954, with early meetings being held in club rooms in Wickham St, Fortitude Valley, Brisbane. The Club’s aim is to foster fellowship and competition among MG owners and enthusiasts, and to acknowledge the MG Marque and its unique place in automotive history.

The club has established a tradition of fostering and promoting club motor sport in numerous forms, encouraging new participants through HILLCLIMBS, RACE MEETINGS and SPRINTS.

In addition, MOTORKHANAS and NIGHT NAVIGATION RUNS are also popular with members, and are conducted in conjunction with other CAMS affiliated car clubs.

We are proud of our achievements in this area, as we believe that this type of commitment to motor sport reflects the ideals of the MG Marque and its founders.

On every Friday we have an informal meeting in the form of our "NOGGIN 'n' NATTER" night, a coming together of members, friends and prospective  members. There is a sausage sizzle which starts at 6.30pm and the Clubrooms  are licensed. Our new "home" is located at Unit 8, 16 Collinsvale St., Rocklea. Click here for a map.

DAY RUNS are another important part of our social activities, providing the opportunity of fun and fellowship with other members, and to enjoy motoring in company with fellow MG owners.

Membership is open to MG owners and enthusiasts at $70.00 per year ($50.00 Country), and you can join by simply downloading our MEMBERSHIP FORM, fill it out, and fax or post it to us. CLUB REGALIA is also available.

A CALENDAR OF EVENTS appears in our club magazine, "THE OCTAGON", which is posted to members.

We hope you enjoy our website, and that you find in it a motor sport activity that suits your taste.

We look forward to you becoming a member, and joining with others with a wide diversity of motoring interests, bound together by the MG tradition.
